See You! is a little farewell song. Farewell scenes are a prominent part of the most touching elements of film music. Just think of the Soundtrack to the great film Casablanca, which became famous overnight. The work See You! by Otto M. Schwarz is not intended to be understood as a permanant good-bye as one might expect, but rather, the emphasis lies on the anticipation of reunion.
